Recently we took a family trip to "the happiest place on earth"--Disney World. We spent four days in the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. It was exhausting! We would get up before daylight, wait on the bus, walk ten miles, come home after dark, and collapse in bed. It was wonderful!
Everli rode the "Tower of Terror"... and loved it! Nora got to sit in a restaurant surrounded by her favorite Disney characters... the dinosaurs. Jack and Piper ate lots of food and took lots of naps.
But as I reflect back on that trip, my favorite part was watching my children interact with my grandchildren. It was amazing to watch my children love on their own children and each other's children. There were eight adults, and four children--and those four small ones received all the attention they could ask for. But watching my kids smooch on their kids was the most magical part of the experience for me. I realized that my kids are great parents, and my grandchildren are in good hands.
What more could a man ask for?
